Hope

There is no despair so absolute as that which comes of the first moments of our first great sorrow
when we have not known what it is to have suffered and healed.
to have despaired and recovered hope. George Eliot

Losing someone you love is the most painful, gut wrenching emotion you can ever feel and it changes you for the rest of your life. When I read this quote by George Eliot, I blinked at the absolute truth behind it.

  1. So true..
But then I wonder if it is even sadder to have lost that innocence and heal too quickly as it seems. As time goes by and we face sorrow often.

I was directed to your posts by a mutual acquaintance. I am enjoying your doodles and words.

  2. Once the bubble is burst, and you know you are not exempt from sorrow you prepare yourself and try to harden your heart. While the next time may not be such an absolute shock, I dont know if you do heal any quicker when sorrow does come knocking again.

But I do know what you mean.
Glad you found your way here !
